Hi, I’m Justine! I am a full time working mother with three amazing children and an even more amazing husband (who definitely did NOT edit this bio). I have had an obsession for handbags and leather for as long as I can remember, but it wasn’t until recently that I decided to have a go at making my own bags. As soon as I started, I realized how much I enjoyed creating and designing products and that I had discovered a new passion and hobby. This venture developed into me making items for family and friends (and my children have even helped!) The demand kept growing, and here I am today! Each item is handmade by me individually. All of my items are hand sewn (but I would love to own a leather sewing machine in my future). I love showcasing the natural beauty of cow and bison leather which includes raw edges, scars, and range marks. All of my items are handcrafted in my home with love and attention to detail.

My brilliant husband came up with the name Owl & Awl, which combined my love of birds (I studied ornithology before I became a nurse) and a leather tool that I use daily!
